Nothing is installed, no account is needed, and no audio ever leaves your device — every tone, sweep, and noise is synthesized live with the Web Audio API. Levels read in dBFS, relative to full scale, because a website cannot know your volume knob position — so pages report comparisons, never certified SPL. Phone microphones are uncalibrated, and small speakers physically cannot reproduce deep sub-bass, so silence below 100 Hz usually means driver limits, not hearing loss. Keep volumes low, especially with high-frequency tones, and retest on headphones before drawing conclusions.
